Language instruction supports organizations improving the proficiency of their employees needing to speak a foreign language. LLE instruction contributes to organizational success.

When government organizations want to create, grow, or improve the foreign language proficiency of employees around normal schedules and business hours. Our expert instructors bring knowledge, resources, and expertise directly to your organization.

For example, LLE recently created a new curriculum for the Defense Language Institute.

LLE’s organizational instruction features on-site instruction, adaptable class structures, and measurable increases in language proficiency.

On-site instruction

With LLE, instructors visit your premises for on-site instruction. This enables your organization to develop the foreign language proficiency of employees around the normal schedules and business hours. Our expert instructors bring the knowledge, resources, and expertise directly to your organization.

On-site instruction brings special benefit to organizations that require extended, regular instruction; being on-site helps incorporate instruction into your organization’s plans and culture.

Customized curriculum

The makeup of the curriculum can be flexible to meet your organization’s goals. Examples of variation include:

  • The Department of Defense and the State Department require different terminology and degrees of formality
  • The Defense Language Institute required curriculum in three languages, whereas some organizations could require less or more
  • 911 emergency services personnel require medical and emergency specific language instruction

The type of instruction our educators bring is directly applicable to your organization.

Adaptable structure

The structure of LLE’s instruction can take various forms, depending on what is most suitable for your organization’s needs. Examples include:

  • For a new department of Spanish speaking representatives a M-F, 8am-5pm instruction schedule may be beneficial
  • An existing department of Spanish representatives may be better suited for more intermittent, abridged instruction
  • Language instruction could be a portion of an overall training process

Structure ultimately is created to match the requirements of your organization. LLE has over 30 years of instruction experience to rely on when creating a solution for your organization.

Measurable increases in language proficiency

All of LLE’s instruction is based on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale. LLE instructors are capable of developing students by multiple levels on the ILR scale.

The design of the curriculum and structure, combined with the skill and proficiency of instructors, will bring students to the language proficiency requirements of your organization.
