Global Provider of Telephone Interpretation Services Expands Linguist Community

LLE - Language Services increases over-the-phone interpreter personnel to address the growing need for language support across the world.

Washington, D.C. (February 12, 2008) -- As growth of the non-English speaking population in the U.S. accelerates, so does the dire need for accurate and effective communication. Firms are realizing the influence of the 50 million plus individuals speaking a language other than English. To respond to the communication challenge, LLE, has significantly increased their linguistic workforce to include an ongoing, aggressive recruitment initiative which has resulted in doubling its pool of professional interpreters within the last two years.

Currently the company is recruiting for Hmong, Tagalog, Lao, Vietnamese, and many other languages. In addition to carefully tracking client needs, LLE proactively recruits based on census information and world events which may impact immigration patterns. Presently about 20% of the U.S. population consists of limited English proficient (LEP) individuals. On an annual basis LLE handles requests for over 100 different languages.
